Personally, I am ga ga over him and this party put together by, no other then Kristy, the Head Pug herself! Go ahead and be amazed at all the heroic details.

If party planners were like super heroes I bet Kristy would have the shiniest of capes! One guess as to what color it would be?

I came across Erika's blog a couple weeks ago. The thought and originality for her parties floored me. Her style is just incredible! I am not over exaggerating. All truthing here!

The kids made their own souvenir and key chains with ribbons and mini Eiffel towers and macaroons. This idea I am definitely going to have to try out. So can you!

First Grade Humor

We had open house at the princess' school today. She is in Kindergarten and was SO EXCITED for this. She has been counting the days all week!

We visited with some parents, chatted with a few teachers and then made our way to the potential first grade classrooms to take a looksy at what is to be of us next school year.

On our last class room visit, I came across a big display of dioramas. A cute and very outspoken little first grader started chatting us up. She was really sweet. Told us about her diorama, all the animals she chose for it and so forth. A few steps away, stood a lady with a young child looking at what at first glance, appeared to be a small cage of some sort.

So, being the curious person that I am, asked my new little friend-

"... is that the class pet?"

She looked over at the table, paused for a second, and responded with "nope, that is just my little sister".

I about died! Her mom, very sweetly explained "no honey, she was talking about the mouse" and laughed along.

Too much!

Icing on the Cake

is when I get to spend a Saturday morning with a friend and calling it another day at work.

I wanted to share with you a couple pictures of what I was up to this weekend. A mini food styling photo shoot, if you will:)

My friend and now fellow entrepreneur Katya and I have joined forces to whip up some new stuff for Little Shindig's. Katya has worked with me at different levels but has finally taken the plunge to start her own catering business {Modern Munch}. I could not be prouder of her. I can say that because I am older, and well, quite frankly, she likes to remind me of it ALL THE TIME.

Those are edible wands. Don't you just love the sparkle?! These will be offered on a new Fairy party theme coming in June. By the way, the sparkles are so NOT photo shopped. I am not that talented at the old photo shop thingy maggee. Lucky for me Katya is. Talented at the baking thingy maggee , not photo shop...she is terrible at that.

This one was a riot! I don't think the picture does it justice, but in a a nut shell, its a set of cupcakes with Alice falling down the rabbit hole. Now that I think of it, that is probably the furthest thing from a nut shell but you get what I mean.

No way! I am supposed to be Vintage Barbie!

So I was on Facebook (FB) recently doing all those silly quizes where you answer a few questions and all of a sudden you know what kind of movie is your life or who your perfect mate is. Well, I took the "what Barbie are you quiz". If you haven't noticed I am a bit of a fan

This is what I got:

you are cute, smug and always right. you are even right that this result is definitely NOT you, this quiz is a waste of time, and you are the most likely to post a response on the quiz page stating that fact. you don't spend too much, don't drink too much, don't swear too much and are NEVER out of control. everything is PERFECT, really...except that you constantly make your friends and your men feel inadequate by your critical, goodie-2-shoes nature. lighten up, ok?

This is so untrue. I am Vintage Barbie!!! I HAVE to be. Okay, maybe there is a little truth to the goodie 2 shoes thing but who are they kidding by claiming these tests are freakishly accurate?

Anyway, I also took some other quiz's and have learned that:

• My Life is like The Notebook (that one makes me kind of sad)
• I was Royalty in a past Life (sure I was!)
• My Cowboy Name is " Wynonna The -Stallion Raintree (what else could it be?)
• My perfect mate is Ambitious and Driven. (yeah...no comment!)
• If I was Liquor I would be Grey Goose Vodka. BTW this makes me: simple, elegant, and inviting.
• I shine in group situations, but my true area to shine is an intimate, one-on-one setting..(Hmmm Okay. if you say so! )
• Oh Yeah and I have a VERY old Soul!

Please beware...I am about to rant!

What is it with the filthy anonymous comments. HONESTLY. Anyone else get them? I thought it was funny at first, getting comments I could not decipher. Some language (maybe Chinese?). But I was totally grossed out when I figured out these comment were FAR from family friendly.

Do these people have nothing else to do? You know they do HAVE SITES FOR FOLKS LIKE YOU TOO! Hey, to each his own but this isn't one of those sites!

so needless to say, please find the little X and GO AWAY!

Now that that is settled, lets get back to talking about parties and kids and crafts and families and daisy's!

365 toys update...

365 Toys update..I quit! Yeah 365 days is a bit much for me right now. I love the idea...but one picture each day is way too much pressure for me. I think I will try and do something similar to that project but hopefully more on my terms. But just for fun let me share my last picture aka: "day two". I know, pathetic right?!

Goofy I know,but that's my style. Love it or just learn to tolerate it like my family does.

So I don't know why I keep getting myself involved in random stuff. You would think I have nothing else to do. BUT I DO...I just haven't really been doing it all so much lately...kinda. Well anyways let me share with you my new project also known as what I signed up for today..Tuesday:)
Well I finally decided to get set up over at Flickr...yeah I know I am about the last person to do so. I thought I would give this other photo sharing thing a shot but that didn't work out so well. Anyways long story short (I know..too late)I went snooping around and found The 365 Toy project. Which to sum it up for you means I will be taking the next 364 days to post my pictures of Toys, One each day,each different, with different scenarios or back grounds, for a mere 365 days.
I KNOW!!!Crazy right?!

Well I am sharing day one with you. Let me know what you think.
