Little Miss Cupcake

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! Hope you don't mind but I asked my new friend Little Miss Cupcake to join us today. ( she is here helping me with this other thing this week)

As it turns out Little Miss Cupcake is a bit of a cook so I said, THAT'S PERFECT...I can set a pretty mean table.

A whisk, a couple mixing bowls, some cookie cutters, a rolling pin, tulle, other random stuff I had in the kitchen and Voila! your cupcake tablescape is served.

Little pink aprons? okay..lets improvise.

Extra sprinkles? ABSOLUTELY!

You Silly Goose!

I know what you may be thinking...Natalie has finally lost it! Here me out....the goose might dress a bit outrageous but she is tons of fun at parties!

We inherited "the goose" a few years ago when my daughter was born. Turns out my mother in law has had her for a while. If you have never seen one of these before ( and by that I mean a three foot plastic goose) let me be the one to inform you she is actually a Lamp. Yep! that is right Good looks and Brilliant too! However, she did not come with the tutu, accessories nor top hat..that was all us ( the kids and I). We thought it was only appropriate for her to get dolled up for this Fun table scape.

I tried making the place settings to resemble Lilli pads with what we could find around the house.

We had so much fun with this silly goose I forgot the silverware and stemware. Woops...oh well at least the Goose looks FABULOUS and I am hoping, we also made you SMILE!

A la Lone Ranger

Alright this has been a crazy week but I still wanted to get in the fun for Thursdays tablescapes at Between naps on the Porch. This is week 2 and also time to bring in the Big Guns like I said I would last week.

Everybody, this is BIG GUNS!

I got him at Ross last year on the bargain isle. You would laugh if I told you how much I paid for him. So I will tell you...I think he was like a little over a dollar. So I brought myself this cowboy home.

Just one setting this week...a la Lone Ranger?

That would be a tp roll cut for a napkin ring and my sons Yellowstone Ranger badge that Grandpa brought back from a trip. Also a mason Jar for a glass. Somehow a wine glass or tea cup did not seem so appropriate.

and this..I don't know what it is called but I saw it in a movie once. Do you know what it is called? I though maybe, a different way to hold goodies or a favor, What do you say?

and in Western fashion this is where Big Guns and myself will ride into the sunset or at least onto tomorrows post.

Table for two?

A tablescape. Again. I know, and it's not even Tuesday!

Well Tardevil showed me the way and Thursdays is THE DAY to do this at Between Naps on the Porch.

So here we are, Thursday with my little Spring/Easter inspired tablescape. Now I must come clean. I did this table last year just for fun with my daughter in the comfort of her bedroom. So I am hoping I am not breaking any rules for NOT posting something I did today. If that is the case, then these other folks joining the tablescape fun today are like super-bionic table setters and have some crazy skills to publish so fast on their blogs! I mean there was 40+ when I got around to doing the Linky doodah thingy. Lots of fantastic tablescapes too. You must check it out! As for me, the newbie, I hope the group digs my "little" table for two.

okay, now it's time to give it to me straight. What do you think?

Yeah... your right, I think I may have to pull the big guns next week to impress.

Little Tablescape Tuesday

Sure the tables might sometimes be a little shorter but they deserve just as much attention. So I will say it again, Little Tablescape Tuesday!

Anyone not to clear on what is a tablescape (yes there are some people that do not subscribe to Living or read the Hostess blog everyday) not too many, but a few and that would include my DH. So for the few and you too honey...it is a design plan, an overall look that addresses the entire table or surface as well as its surroundings. A good tablescape display can set the mood for the entire event. So YES folks it is an important part of any little shindig.

This table was for a 9th B-day party and Edel was kind to let me now share with you. It's simple yet gorgeous and you gotta love the mushrooms.Go ahead...Be inspired.
