Dishing Out

Would you believe me if I told you that I didn't have a big fancy wedding?
Well it's true. Married-Yes. Wedding-No
That is the one party I never got to plan.

I ran off with my spoon.....eloped to Vegas to be exact.
Classy.. I know.

that's me. that's my spoon. the only plan was to be happy.
 I wouldn't change a thing.

Happy Valentines Day!

I didn't plan a big wedding either. We are MORE unconventional actually, lol. Already had 2 kids, engaged for 5 yrs, after starting to plan, then stopping, we finally just decided nothing was going to stop us this time. Planned a small 50 ppl ceremony and a dinner reception. It was small but SO PERFECT! Had baby #3, EXACTLY a yr later! My 1yr wedding anniversary I was in the hospital! LOL!!

Love your post! My (now) hubby and I have know each other since we were 13! He moved away from his parents at one point in our lives and came to live with me. So, some 6 years later, when his parents finally decided to come see us...we said to ourselves: let's get married! We picked his parents up at the airport and on the trip home I handed my mother-in-law an invite that said we were getting married that day (just a few hours later!).
So we did the legal thing on a Friday and on the Sunday following we got a bunch of our friends together, plus our families, and had our pool-party-backyard-barbecue-style wedding. The alternative, non-conventional thing is DEFINITELY our thing! Hope you had a great valentines too!
