Little treasures

My daughter has been holding on to a large pink "diamond" that fell off a plastic ring.
She LOVES "fancy jewelry" and I wonder what she would think of these???

My girly girl would probably think it needs some bling but I just gotta tell her its Vintage style.
Vintage trumps bling in this household:)

See Natalie wait too long to post this feature.....

I knew this Dick and Jane/Vintage toy party would be featured all around blog town but I didn't think it would be overnight. Yikes people...don't you all sleep?! The Dick and Jane party was Circa...Monday???

Okay, so it is pretty fabulous and that is exactly WHY I, must feature it here.

Plus, its vintage inspired and ya'll know- me and vintage go waaay back! Then again, I suppose it wouldn't be vintage if it didn't go waay back?! You get what I mean.

This party was put together by the talented duo from Bella Grace Designs and Paper and Pigtails (Lindsey & Kori) and it is beyond uber cute with loads of details and a spectacular color scheme. See for yourself...

(long sigh).
I caught wind of this party a few days ago and reached out to Lindsey to get her blessing on the feature. I was thrilled to learn that...
  1. I had the go ahead
  2. this fun little fact. Lyndsey started blogging about a year ago and that Little Shindigs was the first blog she ever followed!
So I am flattered that someone as talented as Lindsey would find a small bit of inspiration here (actualy, it made my week) and I am certain that this sweet party will now inspire you.

I came across the sweetest little first birthday party a couple weeks ago. Vintage inspired! I know right? Talk about luv at first sight.

It is just about the most darling little party I have ever seen. No need to say more because the pictures speak for themselves. Honestly..

Maribeth (mom and AMAZING party planner) + oh so talented Photographer for a dad. Its too perfect! But I gotta tell you, the birthday girl TOTALLY steals the show! Yep, I was swept away (long sigh).

Enjoy....and see you tomorrow!

Kitschy Kitschy Coo

Darling little PINK circus elephant found via Kitschy Kitschy Coo (love that name). Unfortunately, it is no longer for sale, but definitely good for inspiration.

I am trying to put together a whimsy centerpiece that includes an elephant but haven't had much luck finding anything I can really use...ugh! I am about to break out the spray paint and try to work some magic on an old friend. Maybe manana!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend....any fun projects you are working on? Do share.

Big in Japan

working title...

Got these Japanese 1960's coin banks at one of my local spots. The owl was hiding behind the counter and caught my eye. The gal at the store told me few others had come in that day and they were still in a box...I couldn't resist. Come on they are too cute!!! I am not an avid collector of anything in particular but I have to admit, I buy stuff just to look at it!

I was watching the Rachelle Zoe project one night and she said the same thing about some vintage dresses. She said something like-she may not ever wear them but she has to buy them just so she can look at them. I totally GOT that.
Okay so its not vintage Chanel dresses but maybe they are big in Japan?

My initial idea was to simulate some sort of carousel but not too sure I did that here.

So we are just going with the "cute" factor instead.
Yep, definitely the cute factor! ummm yes, that would be an elephant with a little bird on its trunk........Bananas right?!
(Rachelle Zoe-ism anyone?)

Happy Tablescape Thursday!!!!!

Vintage va-voom

Umm Hello? When did this happen and why didn't anyone tell me. It's like vintage va-voom with extra long satin strings?! Heavenly Hostess, I am in awe. First of all they are down right gorgeous, second of all from what I understand they are made with satins, embellished lace and organza fabrics, including beading and specialty trims. I mean, COME ON... they are prettier than some of my cocktail dresses!
I know you want one too. Sure they are fantastic for that cocktail party you'll be hosting soon but you know you are fabulous enough to rock the cupcake one at Juniors 5th b-day. Right?! Right.
