Pint size- Carnival

As promised last week, here area few ideas of how to throw your own little Carnival party, pint size.

Invitations: I love what Perfect Party Orlando did with the big tickets, but what about Carnival posters? I am thinking like the old Conney Island ones.

Decor: Well presumably your party would be outdoors. Get lots of red and white bunting, balloons and how about this from the Oriental Trading Company?
By the way consider taking a good look at what else they have at Oriental Trading for Carnival parties. Very affordable stuff.
In addition you can arrange booths in your backyard. Collect old sheets and hang them from clotheslines. Come up with a couple different booth games and give away tickets for playing/winning. Splurge on a great variety of prizes for the kids to exchange for their tickets .

The Menu or should I say Concession stand should be easy to put together. Just think of what you would eat at a Carnival. You may even consider renting a Hot dog cart or how about a cotton candy machine? Really want to wow your guests? I have two words for you. Funnel Cake, Yummm! (I guess that is 3 words). I found this how to, claiming it's easy to make. You let me know!

As for the cupcakes this is a must!!!
What will they think of next?!

I hope this gets your wheels turning. As you can see the Carnival party can definitely be done to any scale. It's a cute party for young kids, think face painting and balloon twisters and still appropriate for the older kids with more sophisticated game booths.

Now it's time for me to go dream of funnel cake and check out a few episodes of Ben 10. I currently know a whole lot of nada about this cool dude, but I hope by the end of the weekend I can have something more to share. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the ideas! We are having a vintage circus party for my three daughters birthday next weekend. Think circus, but with a very girly twist! Lots of hot pink and aqua!
